Color Wars colored pencil set

Find Your Fandom with Pop Colors

As we continue with Self-Care Month on Carolina Cart, we’re spotlighting a product that facilitates both relaxation and creativity. Coloring has always been a favorite pastime for kids, but now adults love it, too. This is a very comforting and creative activity. If you're spending too much time on screens and touchpads, take a few minutes each day to get back to the basics with a set of colored pencils and a coloring book or a sketchpad.

This week’s featured product is from Pop Colors of Greenville, South Carolina. They specialize in colored pencils with uniquely-themed color names based on pop culture favorites from movies, TV shows, video games, and more. Pop Colors brings coloring to the next level with their clever color names full of character names and inside jokes that fans will love.

Find your Fandom!

Are you a fan of a certain sci-fi franchise that takes place in a galaxy far, far away? The Color Wars set is for you! Why use the same old colored pencils when you can use R-2 Deep Blue, Return of the Redi, or Darth Shader. You can also buy coloring pages with designs inspired by the movies ready for you to color.

If you’re more of a TV person, you probably know that Ted Lasso season 4 started this month. How do you fill the time while waiting for the next episode to drop? The Richmond Till I Dyes combo pack is the perfect way to entertain yourself as you count down the days while you color with Football is Life, Biscuits with the Boss, and Diamond Dogs.

Colors and Recreation Colored Pencil Set

I wanted to try these pencils out for myself, so I bought the Colors and Recreation pencils and coloring pages. The coloring pages are based on classic Pawnee characters such as Lil’ Sebastian and Duke Silver, and the color names are literally genius, such as Entertain-mint 720, Perdple, and DJ Maroonba. I loved the color names, and I enjoyed reminiscing about my favorite Leslie and Ron moments. Admittedly, I had not colored in a while, but I managed to stay inside the lines…mostly. And these are just a few examples of the options available. Pop Colors makes pencil sets for a wide variety of interests, for kids, teens and adults, paying homage to everything from video games to holidays, and music superstar Queen B. For the budding fine artists, they make sets based on Monet and Picasso. You will feel extra talented when you create your next still life with Mouth of the Seine (brown) or Guernica (black).
