Self-Care Month: A Recap
As Self-Care month on Carolina Cart comes to a close, let’s take a few minutes to recap some of the great products and sellers we’ve elevated on social media throughout the past four weeks, plus introduce a few additional vendors you’ll want to check out. In case you missed anything, here is a look back at everything we featured this month
Week 1: Aromatherapy Stress Relief
Our first featured product was elsewhere unplug’s Aromatherapy Dough. This natural and eco-friendly stress-relief came in a sampler pack of three beautiful botanical scents, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, and Lavender. I even made a video where I tried them out.
Week 2: Coloring with Leslie & Ron
Next was one of the most fun products I’ve tried out so far for Carolina Cart, the “Colors and Recreation” colored pencils and coloring pages set. Pop Colors has a whole line of colored pencils with unique names inspired by some of pop culture’s biggest fandoms, including Star Wars, The Office and Mario Brothers.
Week 3: Happy Birthday and goat’s milk
I celebrated my birthday week by treating myself to some lotions and lip butter from Essential Journeys. Their Appalachian Goat products are made from goat’s milk, and make a rich, smooth, wholesome product.
Week 4: Vendors of the Day
This week we have featured a different vendor each day selling various kinds of self-care products:
Lucid Coast: beachy scents for home and body, from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
C & Co Natural Skincare: from Asheville, North Carolina, lab-tested high-quality skin care products from Asheville, North Carolina
Mind Body Scents, LLC: luxurious high-end candles and reed diffusers from Raleigh, North Carolina
Full Moon Tea: from Marshall, North Carolina. What is more soothing than a nice hot cup of herbal tea at the end of a stressful day?
But that’s not all!
The month ran out before we even got a chance to spotlight these additional retailers who also sell self-care products:
Bumble Holler Farm: from Canton, North Carolina, who makes hand-crafted home and body care products based on generations old Appalachian traditions
That Good Good Shea: from Raleigh, North Carolina, creates sustainable skin care with the goodness of shea butter, and takes inspiration from the founder’s Ghanaian heritage
Charleston Candle Co: These beautiful hand-poured candles will make you feel like you're back in the Lowcountry.
Carolina Castile Soap: offers vegan and all-natural soaps in bar and liquid formulas, in a variety of scents for the whole family, from Raleigh, North Carolina.
Ginger Lily Tallow: organic skincare from grass-fed beef tallow, made in Mooresville, North Carolina.
Hickory Hollow Soaps: from Hendersonville, North Carolina, creates soaps, balms, and scrubs from high quality ingredients.
Naturallow: provides small-batch skincare collections with products ranging from lip balm to deodorant, from Longs, South Carolina.
